LED Lighting Are Popular in Everett Elementary School

The Everett School District has led LED revolution. James Monroe Elementary is believed to be the first public school to go almost entirely LED.

Schools are seeing LEDs in a whole new light. Many teachers at the school say the LED light is a "warmer light," better for teaching and learning. One kindergarten teacher said she no longer needs her reading glasses in the classroom.

Although LEDs cost more at the front end, administrators say they will make up for it in energy and replacement costs.
