Samsung Invest $1.7 billion for Expansion kunshan Factory

Samsung has intended to invest $1.7 billion for expansion in kunshan-based factory, china. The fund will be used in building factory, purchasing equipment, and the establishment of Samsung Electro - Mechanics Co. as operations research center, in order to support the development for chip load plate projects.

The kunshan factory is founded in 2008, and is dedicated in manufacturing electronic components. By the end of 2012, Samsung has injected a total of $80.99 million investment in this factory, and the annual sales have approached $ 100 million.

According to kunshan Government, Samsung will cooperate with the city on chip load plate projects, and increase another $1.7 billion investment within 5 years since 2013. This cooperation will promote Samsung to meet the rapid growth of intelligent terminal equipment market, as well as increase its production capacity of chip load plate by more than 3 times.
