Philips Helps 15 Stores of Shinsegae to Upgrade LED Lighting

Recently, the Shinsegae China and Philips jointly organized the "Briefing of Shinsegae LED Lighting Upgrade Project" and announced that the LED Lighting Upgrade in 15 stores of Shinsegae undertaken by Philips in 2012 passed the acceptance, fully meeting the expected results, and introducing the whole implementation process and harvest of this project to the industry.

The full adoption of LED lighting to replace traditional lighting jointly conducted by Shinsegae and Philips has provided valuable success experience for the sustainable development of the domestic department store industry,  the wealth performance of Philips LED lights improved the lighting environment of Shinsegae stores and created more comfortable and enjoyable shopping experience, but also it saved hundreds of thousands even millions dollars of electricity each year for each department store, so enhanced the overall competitiveness of enterprises.

Since the energy management contract (EMC) was introduced into the implementation of the project, Shinsegae is no need to spend much money in the pre-investment, but to pay for the cost of renovation with the savings in electricity after the lighting system upgrade, which eases the pressure of businesses on great upfront investment.
