LG Large-size OLED Display to be Put into Mass Production in the Second Half of 2014

To commemorate the completion of the new OLED production line, LG held a ceremony to celebrate the upcoming mass production of its 50-inch or larger OLED panel.

For LG, the installation of production equipments for OLED screen indicates that it is closer to the mass production of OLED screen. On the equipment installation celebration held in Korea factory, LG said that it expected to put 50-inch or larger HDTV products into mass production from the second half of 2014. It is a bit later than the originally planned the first half of 2014. It is expected to not be delayed again.

However, how expensive will the 55-inch OLED TV be? The booking price of 55-inch OLED TV LG announced earlier in the North American is up to $ 15000, enough to buy a very good family car.

As early as last year's CES (Consumer Electronics Show), LG showed off 55-inch OLED TV, it has actually taken such a long time to evolve from early prototype to the actual product, thus the development of OLED technology is very difficult.
