Nevada Power of Reno and Las Vegas Provide Motivation to Install LED Lamps

It is reported that Nevada Power of Reno and Las Vegas is offering substantial rebates ($12 per lamp, based on 0.30/Watt) on Soraa's gallium-nitride on gallium-nitride (GaN on GaN), full visible spectrum LED MR16 lamps, in order to speed up the adoption of energy efficient LED lighting.

According to a release, with the rebates, Reno and Las Vegas businesses now have another incentive to install Soraa's MR16 LED lamps, well known as the best LED MR16 retrofit lamp available, delivering the highest light output, color rendering, whiteness, and beam of any comparable product. Soraa will help transform ordinary lighting into extraordinarily vibrant, brilliant and energy efficient lighting by determining your rebate eligibility, filling out forms and submitting the applications.

"Our award winning LED MR16 lamps are widely regarded as the best in the world and now Reno and Las Vegas businesses can own them for significantly less thanks to Nevada Power's rebate program," said Dr. Tom Caulfield, President and COO of Soraa. "The perfect lighting solution, our LED lamps give you unprecedented color and white rendering, brighter light, full dimmability, long lamp life, unprecedented beam performance, and dramatically improved energy efficiency."

A flaw in other LED lamps on the market is that they're missing important colors in the spectrum. Interior spaces contain a range of colors, finishes and materials that benefit from full spectrum light sources. Wood and fibers, fabrics and furniture, art and human beings, all have complex and subtle coloration that only appears truly natural and vibrant under full spectrum light. Full spectrum light is also important because interior environments are usually lit by a combination of daylight and man-made light throughout the day, so man-made light closest to daylight avoids color mismatches and provides better color consistency between day and evening lighting conditions. Soraa's MR16 LED lamps render the widest range of colors in the objects that we see. They produce full visible spectrum light, with light quality closest to daylight-smooth, well proportioned and balanced, without ultraviolet (UV) or infrared (IR) radiation. Soraa's MR16 lamps are available in a complete suite of beam angles, color temperatures, CRI, R9, and halogen equivalent light output (50W to 75W).
