According to ilumi’s press release, ilumi uniquely offers wireless meshing using Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), which provides full systematic lighting control with simple set up and ease of use. With BLE, ilumi eliminates reliance on Wi-Fi networks and bridges, and hefty installation costs, making the bulb suitable for home and commercial establishments such as restaurants, bars, clubs and theatrical applications. The bulbs have a wireless range of 30.48 meters (100 feet).

Currently, its A21 model offers more than 800 lumens, and runs on 10 watts, while large Par30 lights emits 1,100 lumens on 15 watts of electricity. The LED bulbs have a lifetime of 100,000 hours, but no details were given about the bulbs CRI.
