Philips and Schréder Sign Settlement Agreement and Resolve Patent Dispute

Royal Philips and Schréder S.A. announced that they have signed a settlement agreement which ends the pending litigation in the LED lighting field.

In the complaint filed at the District of Massachusetts Court in U.S. earlier this year, Philips accused Belgian LED manufacturer Schréder for infringing a total of 12 LED patents, which were employed in lighting products including streetlights, flood lights, residential lighting products and others.

Philips will not be disclosing financial details and other terms of the settlement agreement.
