Apple might be releasing limited edition of sapphire screened phones for the larger sized 5.5-inch models in the upcoming iPhone 6S, an Apple Insider report quoted Ming-Chi Kuo, Analyst of KGI Securities saying.
Kuo projected if the Cupertino company overcomes sapphire drop tests issues, it could be possible that limited number of sapphire screened 5.5-inch iPhone 6S might be released on the market.
Other iPhone 6S spec predictions made by Kuo include the launch of a rose gold colored phone, camera lenses being upgraded to 12 MP, and the addition of a new speaker in the phone to improve sound quality.
The iPhone 6S will be also be introducing new Force Touch technology, which will become the new selling point for the smartphones, and expand input methods to include handwritting, said Kuo.
Screen resolutions will probably remain the same, and Kuo stood by his earlier estimations that a new 4-inch screened phone will not be released this year. The new iPhone 6S will come in 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch models.
