Located North of New Delhi, Indian state Haryana has recently made LED lamps a necessary requirement for amending the zoning plans of licensed colonies and change of land use (CLU) granted sites, according to a Business Standard report.
A local town spokesman said on Tuesday that the owner would install the LED lamps for the campus and buildings of colonies and sites.
"Implementation of these conditions would be ensured at the time of grant of occupation certificate," he said.
The owner could also choose to install LED lamps over CFL in the existing projects for internal and streetlighting, he added.
