Honglitronic Rebrands as Honglizhihui, Intends to Acquire Connected Car Company

Chinese LED manufacturer Honglitronic Optoelectronics announced it had rebranded itself as Honglizhihui Group, and is in the process of acquiring  connected car technology assets.

Honglitronic Optoelectronic's changed its name to HongliZhihui Group, and has redesigned its logo, it will still trade under the same stock code 300219 on the Chinese bourse. The company's LED products will retain the Honglitronic trademark.

The company announced on the same date plans to acquire new assets related to connected car technology and halted trade on the Chinese bourse.

Due to uncertainties related to the acquisition, the company is temporarily halted trade on the bourse to protect investors’ rights and avoid volatile stock prices.

Based on Shenzhen Growth Enterprise Index regulations, companies need to apply for trade approval from the Shenzhen Stock Exchange, and the company is to halt trades as of July 25, 2016 until further notice.
