Gemio Kickstarts Customizable Smart LED Bands

Gemio, a wearable device developer, launched a new customizable smart LED band capable of lighting up in various color patterns.

The smart LED band can change into millions of colors, respond to music, movement, synchronize with friends bands, and send light signals to communicate in a flash.

Users can change the lighting patterns simply by tapping the band.

The band uses RGB LED lights and is equipped with optical sensors capable of detecting brightness in an environment, other sensors include microphones that function as audio receptors to pick up surrounding music to sync the band to music, and motion sensors that turn the band off when a person is still.

Moreover, the smart LED band uses Bluetooth for proximity sensing and sending light signals to surrounding friends.

The company's Kickstarter campaign has received more than tripled amount of funds of US$157,517 from its targeted goal of US $50,000, and the campaign will run for another 11 days.
