Leyard Acquisitions Aims for Nationwide Coverage in China

Leyard Optoelectronic acquired two Chinese LED manufacturers Linso LED, Pread, and lighting installation company Frank-Time recently.

Leyard stated it will invest RMB 150 million (US $22.46 million) to acquire 100% stake in Linso LED from its top two shareholders, which are management companies based in Shanghai.

The scope of Linso LED business covers digital electronic products, electronic components, software, hardware, telecommunication equipment, measurement instruments, and other technologies. The technology transfer, consultation and related services are all related to LED electronic components, such as LED displays manufacturing and sales. The company also makes and manufactures computers, software and auxiliary equipment. The sale of electronic products and equipment rental services. The construction of power infrastructures, smart buildings, city, road constructions, cargo, import and export services.

In a separate statement, Leyard announced it will acquire 100% of Frank-times shares for RMB 180 million.

Frank-Times is a high-tech company that specializes in smart building, public landscape lighting designs, and specializes in the sales of construction, services and other related products. The company’s revenue goal throughout 2016 to 2018 is respectively RMB 18 million, RMB 22.5 million, and RMB 28.13 million. The strategic acquisition of Frank-Times will help Leyard deploy its market strategy in western China.

The company will also invest RMB 120 million to acquire 100% stake in Sichuan-based LED lighting company Pread.

Pread’s business encompasses streetlight projects, smart buildings, equipment installations, engineering and construction designs. From 2016-2018 the company aimed to raise its revenue to RMB 12 million, RMB 15 million and RMB 18.75 million. The addition of Pread as a Leyard subsidiary will expand its lighting business in the southwest region, transforming its lighting business to a nationwide business.
