Bill Y.C. Luo, general manager of Delta's Building Automation Business Group (BABG), emphasized: “This is a de facto power show of Delta’s unique strength in integrating in lighting, security and building control systems. We are looking forward to providing customers with true intelligent building integration solutions and services that surpass their expectations. At the international biennial Light+Building trade fair, Delta is releasing breakthrough lighting system designs with IoT concept as well as advanced products for commercial lighting. ”

At the show Delta will launch an industry-leading lighting control system empowered with a wireless communication capability, which is advanced enough to enable Bluetooth 5 Mesh Networking (many-to-many device communications) with a dedicated communications module applying DALI-compliant functionality. This allows users to fully convert conventional lighting scenarios into ready-to-use lighting options available either on a mobile APP or on a voice control system, reducing the hassle of modifying any original lighting fixtures. This innovative solution solves substantial problems that often arise when adapting a conventional lighting control system to newer technologies, such as difficult integration as well as high costs.

Delta is also exhibiting its much-touted Astra series of wall washers, namely ultra-wide-angle floodlights using asymmetric optics technology for large-scale outdoor billboards and indoor commercial lighting. Astra's hallmark characteristics of ultra-wide-angle luminosity enable it to emit light with an illumination range of up to three times the width of any conventional floodlights, and yet with a more uniform luminance.

The internationally renowned Lighting + Building 2018 will be held at the fairground of Messe Frankfurt, from March 18 to 23. Delta welcomes you to visit its booth at Hall 4.1, J50.

More Delta highlights at the trade fair will include:

1. IoT Lighting Solution – Delta's in-house Bluetooth Mesh network communication module can be readily integrated with Delta’s DALI power supply module for digital lighting control via wireless Mesh networking. It can be easily put to use in conjunction with beacon indoor positioning technology, either on a mobile phone or a tablet, providing value-added services such as indoor positioning on top of its basic lighting function.

2. Short Distance Ultra-wide Wall Washers – The new Delta Astra series floodlights feature an asymmetric optics technology that makes possible an evenly illuminated area that is three times wider than what is capable with common floodlights at the same projection distance. Not only does it significantly reduce the number of luminaries that have to be installed, but it also eliminates the problem of dark zones between conventional floodlights.

3. Industrial Lighting – The ultra-lightweight Cerratto series of LED high-bay lights provide multiple options for wattage and lumen output selection, while coupled with Delta's high-efficiency programmable power supply. With a luminosity topping out at a stunning brightness of 22000lm, this high-bay light weighs a mere 3.2kg and is the lightest among its peers in the industry. Its low glare (UGR < 18) feature is especially easy on the eyes.

4. Building Automation – Delta’s booth will offer a cross-sectional glimpse into the integrated applications of a wide range of products from various BABG departments, including LED lighting, and the UNO Indoor Environment Quality Solution, as well as building controller solutions from its LOYTEC and Delta Controls Inc. subsidiaries, and network surveillance cameras from its Vivotek subsidiary. LOYTEC’s booth is located at Hall 9.1, D56, while Delta Controls’ is at Hall 9.1, E50.
