The Lucid Air's ADAS is called Lucid DreamDrive, which is a platform combining comprehensive sensor suite with a Driver Monitoring System (DMS). According to Lucid Motors, it is the first system of its kind to offer 32 sensors, covering vision, radar and ultrasonics, plus high-resolution LIDAR in an EV. The system works alongside the standard DMS and geo-fenced HD mapping to provide Level 2 and Level 3 driver assistance technologies.

Moreover, headlamps of Lucid Air deploy Micro Lens Array system comprised of literally thousands of light pixels, which are called as “light channel.” Lucid Motors said that “digital steering of light direction is possible by digitally switching light channels in different directions,” indicating that the headlamps are based on adaptive driving beam (ADB) technology, providing precise and advanced lighting solution. The lighting system is developed in-house by Lucid Motors.

The Lucid Air will be available in North America with delivery scheduled in 2021.
