On December 8, Korean LED company Semicon Light announced to sign a UVC LED distribution deal with Japanese company Inabata. This distribution deal will help boost the growth of Semicon Light’s overseas business.
It is said that Inabata’s annual sales have reached about KRW 7 trillion. Besides, Semicon Light will sign an annual supply deal with Inabata in order to achieve business expansion in the US, Europe and Japan.
It is worth mentioning that Semicon Light just signed a distribution deal with Serial Microelectronics HK in September, aiming to reach UVC LED business expansion in the Chinese market.
Serial Microelectronics mainly distributes semiconductor components in China, Taiwan and Hong Kong. It is said that the company’s annual sales have reached about KRW 1.8 trillion.
Since Semicon Light signed a distribution deal with Serial Microelectronics Korea last year, it has been supplying its UVC LEDs to Coway and others.
In recent years, in terms of the UVC LED field, Semicon Light has actively developed the global markets. In October 2019, it has set up a joint venture with a Japanese company to enter the beauty equipment market, planning to enlarge UVC LED application scenario and expand the business internationally.
