Samsung to Debut 89/110-inch Micro LED The Wall in January 2022

Samsung is planning to manufacture 200 sets of 110-inch Micro LED The Wall aimed at homes in January, according to Korean media and industry survey.

Samsung is likely increasing the production of Micro LED The Wall in January to gauge the market reception expected for the technology in 2022, sources in the industry said.

According to TrendForce 2022 Global LED Video Wall Market Outlook and Price Cost Analysis, Samsung is going to debut 76 / 89 / 110-inch Micro LED The Wall, with active matrix and LTPS technologies.

Samsung has already made requests to AUO to procure 12.7-inch LTPS for Micro LED The Wall. In addition, Micro LED chip supplier is PlayNitride.

Meanwhile, the company’s premium TV lineup for 2022 will consist of 8K Mini LED, 4K OLED and 4K Mini LED technologies.

The 8K (7680x4320) Mini LED TV, which will carry the Neo QLED TV brand, will be the highest tier out of three technologies.
