Living Design Center OZONE is a lifestyle and interior information center in Shinjuku Park Tower, occupying five floors, 3F-7F, and with a total floor area of 11,000 m². It comprises information floors such as a unique showroom and shop, for everything from furniture and living accessories, to residential equipment and fittings and building materials, and a library with a collection of home design catalogs. OZONE is going to celebrate 30-year anniversary. TrendForce had an honor to interview with Sinji Mori, Vice Director to know what kinds of services OZONE and Taipei Design Material Center (TDMC) can provide.  

 

Mori noted that OZONE combine the O and Zone together, which means the starts of information zone. There are 30 companies in OZONE, including furniture / storage, bedding accessories, housing equipment, metal parts, and so on. The visitors of OZONE has increased to 280,000 people in 2022, compared to 230,000 people in 2021. Nowaday, 70% of visitors comes from general consumers and 30% of visitors comes from home-creation professionals, such as in architecture and interior design.
 

 

Lighting at OZONE
OZONE showcases lighting products at the booth “blue2@Tokushima at the 7F of OZONE. Nichia’s LED including human central lighting, museum lighting, horticultural lighting, UV-C LED sterilization and purification are installed in their customers’ lighting products.
 

Taipei Design Material Center (TDMC) 台北設計建材中心
Taipei Design Material Center (TDMC) is a commercial facility in Taiwan where OZONE consults.Located at No. 185, Xinhu 1st Road, Neihu District, Taipei, Taipei Design and Building Materials Center (TDMC) is the first and currently the only building materials center in Taiwan dedicated to the interior design and construction industries. There are 60% of members comes from professional constructors and designer. TDMC provides interior decoration and building materials, which will be stationed by high-end brands, as well as the platform for exchanges between industry, government and academia. It also has the functions of industry-academia education conference hall, product release and display space.
