Greenhouse plant grower One Floral Group is conducting its first-ever foray into LED lighting with SUNaa LED grow lights supplied by Sollum Technologies.

Based in Leamington, Ont., One Floral has been propagating a variety of flower and vegetable crops distributed to clients across North America. With a particular focus on developing floral solutions, One Floral has decided to conduct a trial with LEDs, with the goal of bringing more efficiency to their operations and cultivate an increasing variety of products.

“As one of Ontario’s largest propagators of flower varieties, we feel it is time to take the next step for our business and explore new technologies,” said Ryan Selwood, One Floral’s maintenance manager. “This trial with Sollum Technologies will help us determine if dynamic LED lighting is the right one for us. We are accustomed to having a more basic lighting system but as we grow our business of tailored floral solutions and navigate changes in our climate, we need a technology that can handle any changes we see fit.”

One Floral was founded in 1965 under the original name of Lakeshore Products. The company specializes in hydrangeas.
