Ilumisys obtains favorable ruling on LED lighting technology patent

ilumisys Inc., developer and producer of next-generation solid-state lighting technology, is on behalf of its parent company Altair Engineering, announced that a favorable ruling was received from the United States Board of Patent Appeals and Interferences relative to Patent Interference Number 105,602.

An issued patent made claims related to replacing fluorescent tubes with LED technology. The judgment ordered all claims of interfering patent number 6,860,628 to be cancelled and further established Altair as having precedent claims.
