Tomar Electronics has a 40-year history of manufacturing its own brand of lighting products for emergency warning, industrial safety, and machine vision applications. Tomar Custom Designsm now provides this design and production experience to other manufacturers looking for LED-based solutions for emergency warning systems, industrial safety, and machine vision applications.

Scott Sikora, Tomar’s Chief Executive Officer, pointed out that Tomar Custom Designsm offers a unique value-added service for customers. Combining their reservoir of intellectual property and their proven proficiency in optical, electrical, mechanical, thermal, and software design with their efficient manufacturing facility, they can offer partners volume production of their custom products often with no design or startup costs.

Tomar has completed projects with OEMs world-wide ranging from strobe camera flash units for illuminating vehicle license plates for toll enforcement to upgrading legacy incandescent and fluorescent lights to more efficient and greener LED technology. Most recently, Tomar designed and produced 24 LED lighting modules for the emergency warning, spotlight, and tail-light functions on partner Carbon Motors Corporation’s E7 police cruiser concept vehicle now touring the United States.
