Luminus Devices Signs Distribution Agreement with EBV Elektronik for EMEA

Luminus Devices, developer and manufacturer of PhlatLight® LEDs, and EBV Elektronik, an Avnet Company (NYSE: AVT) specializing in EMEA semiconductor distribution, have just announced a partnership through which EBV will distribute Luminus PhlatLight LEDs to general illumination customers in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

Known for delivering extremely high light output from a single source, PhlatLight LEDs from Luminus Devices are currently being used in a variety of lighting applications that require high brightness and efficiency, wide color gamut, high color rendering and long lifetimes. For fixture designers, PhlatLight LEDs enable high-lumen applications that could not be achieved with traditional LEDs in wide area, entertainment, architectural, specialty, industrial and commercial lighting applications.

“EBV Elektronik is the leading specialist for LED technology in EMEA semiconductor distribution,” said Slobodan Puljarevic, President and CEO of EBV Elektronik. “The EBV General Lighting Team offers comprehensive commercial and logistical solutions in all regions to support Luminus’ customers for general illumination applications that use PhlatLight LEDs. Together with our team of 120 application specialists they will also provide design know-how and application support in secondary optics, thermal management, analog power drivers and network/control protocols.”

“EBV Elektronik has the reach and strong reputation to deliver products, logistics and design support services to ensure our customers’ success,” said Peter Weller, General Manager of the Lighting Business, Luminus Devices. “We are proud to be partnering with them and look forward to a mutually beneficial relationship.”
