Toshiba Launched High Brightness Neutral and Warm White LEDs for Commercial, Residential and Industrial Lighting

Toshiba Electronics Europe (TEE) has recently expanded its family of high-power, high-brightness white LEDs with two new versions. The new devices provide designers with neutral white and warm white options that can replace conventional bulb technologies in commercial, residential and industrial lighting applications.

From a driving current of just 250mA the new TL12W02-N neutral white LED and TL12W02-L warm white LEDs offer high typical luminous flux ratings of 90 lumens and 60 lumens respectively. Both devices will operate over a wide temperature range of -40ºC to 100 ºC, making them ideal for harsh industrial environments and outdoor lighting designs.

The TL12W02-N and TL12W02-L are supplied in miniature surface mount packages measuring just 10.5mm x 5mm x 2.1mm. Designed to ensure low thermal resistance, the package technology provides improved heat dissipation characteristics and helps simplify thermal management in lighting designs based on the new LEDs.

Maximum forward current (IF) rating for both of the new LEDs is 300mA and maximum power
dissipation (PD) is rated at 2.37W. Typical forward voltage (VF) is 6.8V.
