Unity Opto Technology Co. supplies LED light bars to Sony and Sharp

Unity Opto Technology Co. has tapped supply chains of Japan’s LCD TV brands Sony and Sharp.

It plans to start delivery of LED light bars to Sony and Sharp’s designated makers of BLUs  in the fourth quarter of this year, and will be able to attain annual revenue of over NT$8 billion  for the whole year.

The firm schedules to command a 10% share of the global market for such products this year. It also expects to post a 70% quarterly growth in its sales for the second quarter, and achieve single-month revenue of over NT$1 billion in the months of the third quarter.
