Microsemi Corp. launched new PD-3504G, a four-port PoE midspan

Microsemi Corp. launched the PD-3504G, a four-port PoE midspan, which supports 10/100/1000Base-T network devices and wireless WiMAX access points. It is available in small-scale applications including access control systems, WLAN access points, IP security cameras and VoIP phones.

Each port of the PD-3504G delivers 15.4W and has concise LED visibility. The device has a width of less than six inches and three devices can fit in a 19-inch ack.

According to Sani Ronen, senior product line manager for Microsemi's PowerDsine midspans, it will enable cost-effective PoE deployment in small to medium-sized business applications, while also offering an improved power efficiency scheme. In addition, it also offers the well-known PowerDsine quality, reliability and superior performance,including full data integrity in 10-/100-/1000Mbit/s applications—plus the market's highest margins for meeting EMI Class B requirements.
