A new line driver NCS5650 designed by ON Semiconductor

ON Semiconductor designed a new line driver NCS5650, which was available in Power Line Carrier communications applications such as smart metering, industrial control and street lighting.

The NCS5650 features high efficiency, Class AB, low distortion, drive power line mains and capable of accepting a signal from any power line carrier modem.

In addition, it has an extended junction temperature range of −40 °C to +125 °C. It's offered in a compact QFN package with an exposed thermal pad for enhanced heat dissipation and increased thermal reliability which can reduce component count and implementation cost.
