Radiant consolidated revenues for November grow up to NT$4.59 billion

Backlight unit (BLU) supplier Radiant Opto-Electronics consolidated revenues for November was NT$4.59 billion (US$151.64 million), up 1.1% sequentially and 45.01% on year, which made a new monthly record. The consolidated revenues for the first eleven month totaled NT$43.78 billion, up 30.12% on year.
 
The company noted, the shipment in November totaled 9.61 million BLUs, up 7.86% sequentially. For the notebooks BLU shipments in November, there were 6.34 million units, in which included 10,000 CCFL-backlit units, and 3.41 million units for netbooks and 2.92 million units for larger-size LED-backlit models. Meanwhile, LCD monitor BLU shipped about 2.8 million units in November, and TV BLU shipped about 440,000 units.

Before that, the company had estimated November revenues stopped increase because of shortage of labor. The good result mainly relied on the order volumes for November and December higher than October.

Radiant’s main customers were Samsung Electronics, Sony and Sharp. Also, the company started supply a US-based computer vendor for 11- and 13-inch notebook BLUs in 4Q10. in November, the company’s notebook BLU shipped 6.34 million units.

It’s expected that the company’s revenues for 2011would increase by over 20% on year. TV products and notebook products would increase significantly in 2011.
