South Korea KCC will Set up a LED Facility

According to a statement from South Korea fine chemical company KCC, it is about to inject 2 trillion won ($1.8 billion) through 2015 to produce components for LED and solar batteries. And at present, it prepares to set up a new facility in the city in the city of Anseong.
 
Seeing the rising global demand for LED products from sectors including lighting, TVs, automobiles and mobile phones, the company decides to o produce 150,000 sapphire wafers per month for LED production and 1.6 gigawatts silicon wafers per year for solar battery production.
