Stamford-based LED Company Solais Lighting Raises $1.8 Million

Stamford-based LED lighting manufacturer Solais Lighting, has raised $1.8 million, according to a new filing by the company with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The company founded in 2008, and investors including FreshTracks Capital, Long River Ventures, and Gorann. It dedicates in making LED lamps with the lightweight, output, focused-beam and full-dimming features capable of replacing halogen reflector lamps. It designs its LEDs for track and recessed fixtures in commercial, museum, retail, hospitality and high-end residential applications.

In January 2010, the company raised $2.3 million in its first round of venture capital.
