Dialight’s LED Products Achieved Brazil’s INMETRO Certification

Dialight has announced four of its class-leading LED hazardous location lighting products including the SafeSite® High Bay, Area Light, Wallpack and Emergency Wallpack have achieved Brazil’s INMETRO certification for safe, approved use in Zone 1 and Zone 2 applications, paving the way to penetrate new key market opportunities in Brazil’s expanding petrochemical industries.

With the U.S. Energy Information Administration reporting Brazil as the ninth largest oil producing country in 2010—producing approximately one-third of total oil supply in Central and South America—Dialight’s entry into Brazil’s hazardous location market could not be more welcomed by companies looking to maximize safety and environmental sustainability while improving their bottom lines.

“Once again, Dialight has solidified its position as the market leader in LED technology innovation with proven products that are quickly becoming the lighting standard for the world’s harshest environments,” said Roy Burton, Dialight’s Group Chief Executive.  “Our portfolio of LED lighting fixtures now enables our global customer base to streamline their supply chain with products that virtually eliminate maintenance, dramatically reduce energy consumption and ultimately improve total cost of ownership.”

Each Dialight LED fixture is available in either cool white or neutral white color temperature and comes standard with a ruggedized, durable housing and shatter-proof lens that is highly resistant to shock and vibration. Designed for fast and easy retrofit from existing conventional lighting solutions, Dialight products run on a universal 100-277V power supply and are compatible with a wide variety of mounting options and accessories. Each fixture is backed by Dialight’s standard five-year, full-performance warranty for worry-free operation, even in the harshest conditions, including off-shore platforms, frigid temperatures and both tropical and arid conditions.

These four fixture types are also certified to IECEx, ATEX and UL844 hazardous location standards.

The company will present an overview of LED lighting solutions for hazardous environments during the Petroleum and Chemical Industry Committee’s (PCIC) annual conference. PCIC Brazil 2012, the largest petrochemical industry conference in South America, is set for August 27-29 in Rio de Janeiro.
