Case Study highlights merging energy efficiency, environmental responsibility, and community friendly requirements into project design
Spaulding Lighting, a Hubbell Lighting Inc. brand, has announced the release of a new case study on illuminating a new Lee Toyota / Scion automotive dealership in Topsham, Maine with the latest in LED site lighting. With a directive for a “green approach” from the dealership owner, Adam Lee, the case study reiterates the architect’s plan of designing a project that was environmentally responsible and as community friendly as possible.
The architect, Frank Cushing of F.A. Cushing, Inc. initially considered the traditional use of a Metal Halide light source to meet the specific desired light levels required to illuminate the product display areas. With the owner’s directive for a green approach to all aspects of the site design, a plan was developed to incorporate the use of a total LED solution for the critical display areas with fixtures from both Spaulding Lighting and Architectural Area Lighting.
This case study features the use of the popular Cimarron LED area light from Spaulding that recently released a new 20K lumen package making the popular luminaire available in choice of four powerful lumen packages from 5K to over 20K lm. The Providence LED luminaire from AAL provides a beautiful front row streetscape that matches the site lighting at the Municipal Center in Topsham for consistency in the community’s overall vision for their Main Street. The new case study is available for download from the Spaulding Lighting website. As a leader in the commercial outdoor market, Spaulding continues to expand its presence with innovative outdoor solutions.
