Eye Lighting International Acquired LED Luminaire assets of Aphos Lighting

The provider of commercial lamps and lighting products, Eye Lighting International in Mentor, announced it acquired the LED luminaire products assets of Aphos Lighting in Carrollton, Texas. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Eye Lighting will move production of the Aphos-brand LED luminaires to its plant in Mentor and will sell the products under the Eye Lighting brand name.

Tom Salpietra, president and CEO of Eye Lighting, said the Aphos line creates “greater scale for (the) business and strengthens (its) position and penetration in the fast-growing LED market.”

Eye Lighting has 135 employees. In July, it opened a 2,000-square-foot luminaire design and assembly center within its Mentor building to further develop its LED and high-intensity discharge energy-efficient technologies.
