Everlight Electronics Announces High Performance Customizable 4-Character 5x7 Dot Matrix Through-Hole Display ELMM-457

Everlight Electronics Co.,Ltd. [TSE:2393], a leading player in the global LED and optoelectronics industry, announces the ELMM-457SURCB/A3, a high performance, easy to use through-hole dot matrix display driven by packaged IC. Each display can be directly interfaced with a microprocessor. The serial IC interface allows the display of 104 built-in characters and 24 custom user-defined characters in a 5x7 pixel format. The LED sources of this programmable, four digit alphanumeric module display with a flat height of 6.5mm and configured in a 140 dots 4x5x7 matrix feature latest solid state technology in light emitting diodes. The display in brilliant red is categorized for luminous intensity and provides excellent reliability and readability even in bright ambient light.


The ELMM-457SURCB/A3 features a custom design display for unique customized usage. Common denominators of all variants of customer-specific configurations include low power consumption , a 3.3 V operating voltage, a serial input and its 128 character ASCII format that allows the display of upper and lower case characters. Additional characteristics of this Pb free and RoHS compliant device include color selection variety, convenient brightness controls and software controlled features.

Everlight's multi digit, alphanumeric, bar graph and dot matrix LED display portfolio offers full color selections for a broad range of white and brown goods like home appliances, set top boxes, audio electronics and gaming equipment. Additional applications include industrial equipment displays for instrument panels for industrial controls and test equipment; digital readout displays on moving message panels and POS systems as well as in telecommunications, medical and fitness equipment.
