New TALEXX control gear Released from Tridonic

Tridonic is launching a new portfolio of LED control gear in the form of the TEC series which covers all relevant customer requirements at an attractive price/performance ratio. The control gear is initially available in 20 W, 35 W and 65 W versions.

All three wattages can be supplied as built-in or surface-mount versions, all with the same product characteristics. In addition to ENEC and CE approval, they offer excellent EMC behaviour. The high-quality cable clamps on the surface-mount versions make installation quick and simple without the need for tools. The TEC series therefore combines impressive Tridonic quality with an attractive entry price.

Depending on the wattage, different versions are available for operating currents from 350 mA to 1750 mA:

  • the 20 W version for 350 mA, 500 mA and 700 mA,
  • the 35 W version for 350 mA, 500 mA, 700 mA and 1050 mA,
  • the 60 W version for 700 mA and 1050 mA, and
  • the 65 W version for 1400 mA and 1750 mA.

On the surface-mounted 35 W, 60 W and 65 W versions the power connections can be looped through.

This wide variety of devices means that a wide range of spotlight and downlight applications can be covered. The lifetime of the devices has been designed to meet the typical requirements of shop, hotel and office lighting. At an ambient temperature of 50 °C the lifetime of the control gear is 30,000 hours, rising to 50,000 hours at an ambient temperature of 40 °C.

This summer, the family will gain a new addition in the form of a comparable version with a cross-section of 21 x 30 mm. LED control gears LCI TEC then will be available in linear and compact shape. There will also be new LED control gear series for dimmable and non-dimmable luminaires which will support additional functions such as adjustable currents and DALI/DSI interfaces.
