Addressing a Press conference late on Saturday, the company’s executives seek an up to 15 per cent share of the Middle East’s LED market and said Opple received a tremendous product feedback from the region in 2012.
“We have already surpassed our half-year revenue target this year as our products for home and commercial segments got encouraging response from the region’s booming market,” Jenny Ji, marketing director of overseas business unit at Opple Lighting.
She said the company recorded a $15 million turnover in the region last year and it holds around a 10 per cent share of the LED products market in China.“We are among top three leading LED players in China and we aim to be the top company in the home lighting segment in 2013.”

Ji said Opple Lighting plans to make deep inroads into the region’s light market through its base office in the emirate. “Dubai is a hub of business in the region and we will expand our presence in the region through our base in the emirate.”
In reply to a question, she said the company is also planning to target other major markets in the region. “Saudi Arabia, Iraq and Iran are other potential markets for the company,” she said.
Ji said Opple Lighting is engaged in the research, development, production and sale of a variety of lighting products. “We provide LED solutions including lighting design in different applications, which are indispensable to create high-quality lighting experience,” she said, adding that the company invests about eight to 10 per cent of the region’s revenue in the region to strengthen its network.
“We have invested more than $40 million in research, development and production expansion,” she concluded.
