Recently, the high-power E-star 3535 and the low-power PLCC 3014 of APT Electronics (Guangzhou) Limited (APTE) have experienced an actual test conducted by a third-party certification institution for up to 6,000 hours; both of the two products are comply with the U.S. "Energy Star" LM-80 standard.
It is reported that the luminous flux maintenance rate of PLCC 3014 under test conditions at 55 ℃ for 6000 hours is 100.7%, while its luminous flux maintenance rate under the test conditions at 105 ℃ for 6000 hours is 98.6%.
However, the luminous flux maintenance rate of E-Star 3535 under the conditions at ambient temperature of 85 ℃ for 6000 hours is 100.8%, and under the conditions at the ambient temperature of 105 ℃ for 6000 hours, its luminous flux maintenance rate is 100.7%. Both products have shown excellent stability in luminous flux and chromaticity.
LM-80 test is a method to measure the lumen maintenance rate of LED light source; the test includes the lumen maintenance rate of a light source at different temperatures and chromaticity maintenance rate of a light source at different temperatures. The data of LM-80 test will be regarded as reference data of the luminous flux of the finished light sources to calculate lumen maintenance and color maintenance of the finished lamp.
