As a part of the project to upgrade lighting, all fluorescent lamps in a garage in Nuremberg, Germany should be replaced with intelligent LED lights. The LED lights used for this replacement are equipped with OSRAM duris e3 led module, also it integrates with a vehicle presence detector, only in actual need, the illumination mode will be switched from the default basic lighting to maximum output. Used with energy-efficient LED, it can save 70% power consumption.
Osram said that these led lights are designed for the lighting applications in low ceiling spaces of garages or warehouses, each lighting fixture has five modules, each module is equipped with 120 units of OSRAM Opto Semiconductors duris e 3 led, which can emit high-quality and energy-efficient lights.
As a result of using intelligent control system, only when the vehicle is passing through or a pedestrian is walking, the lighting fixture will increase the brightness to the maximum output mode (35w), while at other times the light output will be maintained in the basic mode (15w), in order to make better use of resources.
Andreas Vogler, Product Manager of OSRAM Opto Semiconductors German headquarters, said that in the past, two parking spaces need a fluorescent lamp with power consumption of 75w to illuminate, but now only one 35w or 15w (basic lighting mode) led light is sufficient to provide illumination for two parking spaces.
