Vishay Intertechnology Releases New Rectifiers in Low-Profile SMPD Package for Commercial Applications

Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. today expanded its offering of TMBS® Trench MOS Barrier Schottky rectifiers with 16 new 45 V, 50 V, 60 V, 100 V, and 120 V devices that feature a wide range of current ratings from 10 A to 60 A and extremely low forward voltage drop for commercial applications. The devices are offered in the low-profile SMPD package, which is footprint compatible with the D2PAK (TO-263) while offering a lower typical height of 1.7 mm.

With their low forward voltage drop down to 0.40 V at 15 A, the Vishay General Semiconductor dual-chip rectifiers released today reduce power loss and improve efficiency in high-frequency DC/DC converters, switching power supplies, freewheeling diodes, OR-ring diodes, and reverse battery protection applications. Typical end products include smartphone and tablet chargers, set-top boxes, LED TV and computer power supplies, and ADSL modems.

The new rectifiers feature a maximum operation junction temperature of +150 °C and an MSL moisture sensitivity level of 1, per J-STD-020, LF maximum peak of 260°C. Ideal for automated placement, the devices are compliant to RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU and halogen-free according to JEDEC JS709A standards.

Samples and production quantities of the new 45 V, 50 V, 60 V, 100 V, and 120 V TMBS rectifiers are available now, with lead times of eight weeks for larger orders.
