Organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, the sixth edition of the Hong Kong International Lighting Fair – Spring Edition will run from 6-9 April 2014 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. With record-breaking participation, the fair will assemble more than 1,000 exhibitors from 13 countries and regions, who will display diverse and creative lighting products with trend-setting elements or innovative design, catering to both the consumer and the commercial markets.
For the first time, Malaysia and Jiangmen from the Chinese mainland are among the show’s group pavilions, leveraging on the trading platform to connect with global buyers. The fair presents a variety of the latest lighting products in a sectorised format. Established zones include Hall of Aurora, World of LED & Green Lighting, Business of IP Zone, Commercial Lighting, Decorative Lighting, Display World, Lighting Accessories, Parts & Components, Technical & Outdoor Lighting, Trade Services and Publications and World of Chandeliers while two debut zones are Avenue of Inspiration and Small-Order Zone.

Asian Lighting Forum
To be held on 6 April, Asian Lighting Forum 2014 returns for the local and overseas lighting community to meet and exchange the latest market information. The forum brings together experts from business and professional associations to discuss the latest technology developments as well as product development trends. The event will be divided into two sessions: “Global Market Trends on Lighting Product Development” and “LED Technology Advancements & Applications”. Members of relevant industry associations attending the Forum will be granted with credits under the Continuous Development Programme (CPD). Seminars addressing “Lighting Design Trend: Fashion & Function” and “Solutions to Ensuring Lighting Products’ Quality: Accredited Testing and Certification Service for the Industry” will also be arranged to keep buyers abreast of the latest market trends and regulatory updates.
The fair also presents great opportunities for networking and information exchange. A networking reception cum the 7th Hong Kong Lighting Design Competition Award Presentation Ceremony will be organised for industry players from around the world to expand their business out-reach and to appreciate new innovations in product design. Under the theme Blossom Blooms, contestants are encouraged to blend aesthetic impressions while emphasising on originality and functionality to showcase the vibrancy and liveliness of spring through their innovative lighting designs; winning pieces will be on display at the Display Area in Hall 1 C Concourse during the fair period.
Buyer Forums elaborating business opportunities in both mature and emerging markets, and Exhibitor Forum, dedicated for exhibitors to present their new and innovative green products will also be staged during the fair.
