Harvard Launches Gen II Range of Light Engines

Harvard Engineering, has launched its next generation of off-the-shelf LED light engines. The Gen II range consists of; 24mm and 40mm wide strip light engines in both high and low voltage variants, 2 panel light engines and a circular light engine. The strip light engines; LER1, LER2, LER3 and LER4 are available in 280mm and 560mm lengths, with Zhaga compliance. The low voltage panel light engines are 270mm x 270mm (LER5) and 242mm x 260mm (LER6), LEC1, the circular light engine, comes in 200mm Diameter. NTC temperature sensor options and Emergency options are available on LEC1, LER3, LER4, LER5 & LER6.

All of our Gen II light engines provide a very efficient light source of up to 143lm/W with a Colour Rendering Index (CRI) of 80 and are available in a 3000 or 4000 Kelvin colour temperature with 3500K coming soon. The panel light engines can be easily extended in parallel while the strip light engines can be extended in both parallel and series.

In conjunction with the new Gen II range of light engines, Harvard has developed the CLS LED driver, part of the company’s market leading CoolLED range, to provide a complete LED solution. This linear driver is currently available in 80W with DALI touch Dim and non-dim versions. A 40W version of the driver will be launched later this year.

Bill McQueen, senior project manager for light engines at Harvard, commented, “Our Gen II range of light engines has been designed to provide customers with a flexible solution for every type of luminaire design. The range has been designed in conjunction with our newest LED drivers, the CLS, for a complete LED lighting solution.”
