Taiwanese major LED packaging manufacturer Everlight reported a consolidated profit of NT $8.52 billion for 2014 third quarter, hitting a quarterly record, with gross margin of 24.44%, net operating profit of NT$816 million and net profit of NT$726 million.
Everlight is the second largest LED packaging manufacturer in China LED market, according to "2014 Chinese LED Package Industry Report" released by LEDinside.
Everlight ascribed the revenue growth to brisk smartphone backlight and LED lighting shipments. The company saw new monthly highs in revenue for three consecutive months starting July 2014.
While it is expected the company's backlight orders will fall off during Q4, Everlight Chairman Robert Yeh said that the company's lighting business will last through out this year. Everlight forecasted NT $7.5 billion to $8 billion profit for 4Q14.
