Hubbell Lighting, a world leader in lighting innovation, announced today that Columbia Lighting has introduced the RLA—an LED recessed architectural luminaire. With a low initial and operating cost, the RLA is an excellent choice for savings without sacrificing function.
The one-size-fits-all approach to office and school lighting has outlived its usefulness, as we all seem to be working longer hours. Featuring four LED color choices, four lumen packages per size and superior color consistency, the RLA is the high efficacy, sustainable LED solution for today’s built environment.

Ideal for relight, retrofit or new construction, Columbia Lighting’s RLA offers a powerful combination of performance and energy savings. To properly illuminate complex visual settings including offices and classrooms, each fixture is tested to maintain a 3-step MacAdam ellipse with greater than 83 CRI and has five driver choices including a 1% dimming driver option.
Featuring the latest in LED technology, Columbia Lighting’s RLA delivers high efficacies up to 95 lumens per watt and a fixture life of up to 60,000 hours at 80% lumen maintenance. Also, as building and facility managers continually look for ways to reduce energy consumption, lighting controls are a low hanging fruit. A variety of controls are compatible with the RLA, which allows for even greater financial and conservation benefits by using daylight harvesting and occupancy sensors. The luminaire may also be ordered with wiHUBB™ capability to easily integrate with Hubbell Building Automation’s wireless mesh network.
Available in both a 2’x4’ and 2’x2’ size, the RLA has an architecturally enhanced lens design that provides a uniform appearance without any pixelation.
Columbia Lighting stands behind the high quality and reliability of its RLA offering a five-year warranty. To learn more about Columbia Lighting’s new RLA, please visit www.columbialighting.com.
