Osram Raises EBITA Margin Outlook for 2015 Due to Favorable Currency Effects

OSRAM Licht AG recorded a continued positive operative earnings development in the second quarter of fiscal 2015. The adjusted EBITA of EUR 151 million for the second quarter of fiscal 2015 was positively impacted by favorable currency relations. This results in an adjusted EBITA margin of 10.8%. Based on today’s consultations, the Management Board therefore expects an adjusted EBITA margin of above 9.0% for fiscal 2015.

In nominal terms, preliminary revenue in the second quarter of fiscal 2015 increased by 9.5% compared to the prior year period to EUR 1.399 billion. On a comparable basis (adjusted for portfolio- and currency exchange effects), revenue was down slightly by 1.5% compared to the prior year period. On a reported basis, the EBITA was EUR 125 million.
