Chinese manufacturers exported LED lighting goods to India for the first eight months of 2015 reached US $355 million, according to a DIGITIMES report.
LED lighting exports to India soared 76.61% annually, broken down into different product segments exported ceiling lamp values reached US $88 million, panel lights US $73 million and projection lamps peaked to US $40 million, according to industry sources in Taiwan.
The Indian government plans to replace residential lights and street lamps in 100 cities with LEDs by March 2019, creating an estimated total demand for 770 million LED bulbs and 35 million LED street lamps, the sources added.
