Eaton Acquires Ephesus Lighting

Eaton has silently absorbed U.S. stadium and sports lighting specialist Ephesus Lighting, according to a Syracuse report.

The two companies have not released any official statements about the acquisition, but the business transaction was mentioned in Eaton’s third quarter earnings report.

"We were pleased to acquire Ephesus Lighting in late October," said Eaton Chairman and CEO Alexander Cutler. "Ephesus is a leader in LED lighting for stadiums and other high lumen outdoor and industrial applications. Its sales over the last 12 months were US $22 million."

No further details about the merge was provided.

According to an article from Edison Report, “an insider” noted following the business transaction Ephesus will remain in Syracuse and operate under Eaton’s Outdoor and Architectural Group.

Ephesus President Mike Lorenz did not comment or respond to related inquiries. The company’s spokeswoman Ann Marie Halal also did not offer any information about the acquisition.
