ETI’s Independent Director Resigns

ETI announced recently that the company board’s Independent Director Jing Guo Jiang has resigned, due to personal reasons.

Jiang resigned from his roles as the company board’s independent director, a member of the audit committee, and from the remuneration or compensation committee. He will no longer be holding any positions in the company after resigning.

The company will have to elect a new independent director following Jiang’s resignation, since the board’s independent directors will fall below the minimum legal requirement for listed companies in China. Under related regulations, a third of listed company’s board members needs to be comprised of independent directors.

Jiang will continue to act as the interim independent director of the board until a new successor is elected at the company’s shareholder meeting.
