China and Belgium Sign LED Partnership Agreement

Chinese and Belgium government agencies signed a LED lighting partnership agreement in Hasselt, capital of Limburg province in east Belgium on Tuesday, reported Xinhua.

Under the agreement Locate in Limburg (LIL) and Guangdong Solid State Lighting Industry Innovation Center (GSC) will share information on technology, projects and policies from both countries.

The agencies will work together to introduce LED lighting engineering projects in schools, hospitals, agriculture and public infrastructure in Belgium and other European countries.

Saving energy consumption and emissions, energy security and monitoring climate change are an important part of the “2020 Strategy” of the EU.
