China's LED Production Volume Undergoes Double Digit Growth in 1H16

China’s LED industry produced 296.3 billion LEDs during first half of 2016, up 19.21% Year-on-Year, reported China Light Industry Internet (CLII).

X-axis represents months from January to December 2016, growth rates and production volume calculations are only represented to June. On the far left of the Y-axis is LED production calculated in 100 millions, while on the right is YoY growth rates.(All data compiled from China’s National Bureau of Statistics and customs and organized by CII)

In June alone, China produced 60.2 billion LEDs, up 26.12% compared to last year.

Blue line is growth rate for 2014, red line 2015, and green line 2016. Growth rates are calculated according to LED production volume, represented in 100 millions on the Y axis. The report used data compiled from China’s National Bureau of Statistics and customs did not specify the type of LED products (LED chip, package or end products) used for the basis of calculations.
