Kroma Technologies plans to launch a crowdfunding campaign for a new brand of premium, motion-reactive lightwear within the next two months. The brand will launch with two products: KromaKicks - a pair of legwarmers, and the KromaHood - a headpiece.

“We’ve spent the last two years collaborating with dancers on a brand new type of lightwear,” inventor Daniel Ziperovich says. “Most lightwear products today just flash patterns that, at best, are synced to some kind of timer. The KromaKicks and KromaHood use accelerometers to sync their patterns with movement itself, and the effect is transformative. You can just put these on and dance. You’ll look amazing and, more importantly, have a ton of fun!”
Kroma Technologies products are machine-washable and made with universal color LEDs and high-end, durable fabrics. The LEDs are controlled by a detachable pack containing a programmable circuit board and rechargeable battery.
About Kroma Technologies
Kroma Technologies began as a school project by Ziperovich while he was studying at The San Francisco School of Design. As a longtime lover of electronic music, Ziperovich’s goal was to find a compelling way to translate dance movement into color and light. His early prototypes caught the imaginations of friends Donji Yamada-Dessert, Patrick Maris, and Alex Edholm, who joined Ziperovich to help bring his ideas to the world. The team is now based in the San Francisco Bay Area and Munich, Germany.
