Light Fair International is the largest scale light fair in the U.S., in which approximately 550 companies are participating and 30 thousands of people from the industry visit.

It is considered the main stage for businesses to expand into the North American and global markets, especially since global companies of areas ranging from finished light products to logistics and light components gather together in the fair, generating numerous transactions.

LG Innotek will target the global market while introducing various new products including UV (Ultraviolet rays) LED packages, high-power LED packages, LED for automotive, etc.

The most remarkable part of this year’s fair is 70mW UV-C LED, developed by LG Innotek for the first time in the world.

UV-C LED releases ultraviolet rays with short wavelengths of 200 to 280nm; the 70mW UV-C LED of LG Innotek has a wavelength of 280nm and its sterilization performance is the world's best.

This product has a maximized release of sterilizing UV rays using vertical chip technology that LG Innotek independently developed, while the conventional UV-C LED is used for sterilizing small things such as toothbrushes due to its week output of UV rays.

Since it gives a strong performance for its slim size of 6 by 6 millimeters, it can be applied to hardening equipment in the manufacturing industry. The company plans to develop a 100 mW UV-C LED by the end of 2017.

Also, LG Innotek will exhibit light LED packages such as high-power LED package with the output of world’s best class, CSP, color LED, etc.

Its high-power LED package for lights has adopted a unique vertical chip technology, which enables high optic output while providing a great lighting efficiency of 171lm/W. And its slim size (based on 3535 Gen4-X) supports free design by finished light products companies.

The company's Color LED package is also noteworthy. As it can realize colors of red, green and blue as well as white, it is expected to be applied to various areas from high-end lights for buildings and stadiums to special purpose lights.

LG Innotek also introduced 3W and 8W high-power color LEDs and products that release lights of red, green, blue and amber depending on purpose of use.

It also exhibited the product line of LEDs for vehicles such as surface light source LEDs, head lamps and daytime running lights.

LG Innotek has an integrated production system from LED epitaxial wafers, chips, packages to modules. It has a full lineup of packages and modules for automotive component products ranging from head lamps, daytime running lights, turn signal lamps, room lamps to dashboards.

It has added the cutting edge LED technology to the infrastructure of vehicle component business unit, which has been founded on motors, communication modules, etc.

In this fair, LG Innotek plans for marketing targeted to North American and global businesses, one of the largest LED markets.

LG Innotek has created a synergy effect by deploying a vertically integrated LED production facility from LED chips to modules and offering lighting driver and remote lighting control solutions developed in-house.

The company said, “The products introduced in LFI has world best class performance and product quality.”, and “We will keep creating differentiated product competitiveness for our customers.”

LG Innotek will be available for meetings at LFI 2017 at booth #3049 at the Hall D.
