Table and Floor Lamps Add Character

Though chandeliers and pendants are often considered to be the centerpiece of a room, the importance of table and floor lamps must not be understated - these task lights prove impressive and functional without being ostentatious. Hudson Valley Lighting has recently introduced a number of portables to their family of lighting, and we are happy to provide a taste of these hardworking, stylish yet unobtrusive products.

Garfield

Picture lights bring out the best in the art they illuminate. Hudson Valley Lighting's Garfield lamps have an industrial-chic perforated metal shade, which is fitted with an LED board. This board renders colors almost as well as natural light. Garfield's size, shape and finish adds character without stealing the show.

Mini-Hinsdale

Mini-Hinsdale reimagines the popular Hinsdale family as a lamp. A solid marble base mount adds a new dimension to the piece, creating a luxurious mix of materials. Attached to the electric cord is a manual dimmer switch, which puts you in charge of setting the mood to your liking. Mini-Hinsdale makes an artistic statement in any space it adorns, while also adding a subtle sense of playfulness.

Gatsby

A stunning statement-maker, Gatsby bypasses lamp norms. Mounted along three metal rods, three thick discs of Spanish alabaster allow for spectacular light diffusion while upping the luxe factor. This pyramid-like setting is echoed in its cast-metal base and even the detail where body meets base. An opal diffuser at its core softens light slanting out sideways and stops short of the top disc, providing an exceptionally cool effect. Depending where you stand, you might peek at an open cup of light or see the mysterious suffusion of illuminance as it passes through the top slab of stone.

Modena

A collection that cannot escape notice, Hudson Valley Lighting’s Modena table lamp offers a choice of honed marble or pristine crystal stacked between gleaming metal accents that make an assertive visual statement. The recessed metalwork brings robust definition to the lamp’s conical portions, creating a glamorous and confident design. Available in aged brass or polished nickel finish with an Eco Paper or White Silk shade and in two sizes — 32.25” or 25” in height — Modena exudes chic glamour.

Grant

As a lamp, Grant makes a stunning impression. Standing on its four metal rods, LED illuminance spills out through its tight zig-zag pattern of thick glass rods. Its wire discreetly goes out beneath the glass rods in back. Set confidently on a side table, bar cart or desk, Grant’s impressive weight is perceptible by the discerning eye.
